This one is driving me mad!
I had an install of HA that was being used for testing. I have HA on a GMKTEC box in Proxmox and the Thread border router is SNOFF “E” dongle flashed with the latest Thread firmware. I added several matter devices and they all connected and worked first time. Great I thought!
I needed to wipe the instance of HA so I started a new installation. On setting up the Thread Border Router it came up with a different data set (ha-thread-9818). I guess it’s randomly generated every time you add the border router!
I went to the companion app, re synchronised and checked it was reporting the same border router data set. However when I go to connect a new device, it detects it OK and then shortly after it reports that it is communication with the Thread Border Router but with data set for the previous installation of Home assistant (ha-thread-ebb9). The pairing eventually fails.
So far I have re-installed HA again on the phone having cleared cache and data first for the App then re sync. Same result. Deleted everything again from both devices, cleared the phones entire cache, flashed the dongle with zigbee firmware and then again with Thread firmware, a clean install of HA. While the data set on the installation changed, ironically the phone was still showing the data set from the very first installation (ha-thread-ebb9).
I don’t get it. Everything has been “purged” and yet something is not going away!
IPv6 is set to Automatic. . . .
Has anyone else come across this one??
