Meaning of "status" in % in Tasmota + Sonoff TH module

I have one of these Sonoff TH esp8266-based switches, running Tasmota + DHT22 sensor via gpio14, so far so good, readings appear in HASS, lovely.
Then I added its “status” to a history graph and watched for a bit - I expected 0 and 100% but it changes from 70% to 90% in last 3 hours, it definitely has no correlation to temp or humidity or dewpoint.
What is this number?

I believe it’s the signal strength of the Wi-Fi connection.
