Media choreography for a six year old

I’m trying to build a curated digital environment for my 6-year-old instead of relying on YouTube Kids algorithms.
What I want is something closer to a “media choreography” system:
only approved content/apps/channels
no endless recommendations or rabbit holes
scheduled categories of content
educational but entertainment-first
Example:
20 min French content
10 min Dutch reading/language content
maybe interactive games after
then screen time ends automatically or switches category
The goal is low-supervision, high-quality screen time because I have health limitations and can’t constantly curate manually in real time.
I’m looking for ideas/tools/workflows such as:
whitelist-only tablets/apps
launcher systems for kids
automation tools
custom YouTube playlist systems
Home Assistant setups
Android child profiles
guided access / kiosk modes
educational media libraries
ways to block algorithmic recommendations entirely
Important: I do NOT want generic parental control advice or “just limit screen time.” I specifically want to architect a structured, semi-automated educational entertainment system for a young child.
Has anyone built something similar?

Hi Tamara, welcome to the forum!

This forum can be very helpful for questions related to HA.
Even though this software can do a lot, your question does not have much to do with it.
HA is home automation software, not some service to watch your internet connection and the traffic from and to your home.

There are some free services out there that provide DNS filtering which can be used for parental control.
