I’m building an RF blaster along the lines of the one described here.
I have a slightly different type of Mercator fan remote, the FRM87. These seem to be a pretty common three-speed fan remote in Australia, sold as an option with most AC fans from Bunnings Warehouse here.
I was hoping someone might have already gone to the trouble of collecting the RF codes with a sniffer, to save me the trouble of doing it myself. I did it a very long time ago, in the pre-HA era when I was running HomeBridge, but I don’t seem to have saved them anywhere .
If you have these somewhere, please drop me a line!
I’ve got one of these too and thinking of doing the same project. I’m about to order some 433 MHz modules from Aliexpress. Will let you know if I make any progress.
I wonder if anyone has used a Broadlink RM4 Pro to “learn” the codes, and whether they can be extracted once learned.
I’ve managed to get these codes from my two fan remotes.
I found the trick was to take the Broadlink device out of the room where the fans were and record the remote codes in another part of the house. I’m not sure WHY this worked, but it worked.
