I’ve been looking at two way switches that don’t rely on Home Assistant in order for the two switches to control the same light bulb, and have come across the Merkator Ikuu Two Way Switch.
Has anyone had these installed and is able to confirm both how they’re wired up, and whether they do allow for the light to be controlled from both switches without relying on HA?
Susan has covered that well, but also be aware a neutral wire is required for those switches.
Most Australian homes do not have this, so you’ll need this installed additionally (both by a licenced electrician).
Thanks both, that pretty much is what I was reading about them.
Already was expecting the neutral wire so I’ll make sure we get the electrician to sort that out as well as the other wires in between the switches.
