Meross Smart Plug Mini 40962 Missing Power Consumption Entities in Home Assistant (Unlike 40965 Model)

Hello,

I have two different models of Meross Smart Plug Mini that behave differently in Home Assistant regarding power consumption monitoring:

Working Model (40965):

  • Recently updated to firmware 9.3.26
  • Successfully displays power consumption entities in HA
  • Shows current, power, and voltage sensors

Problem Model (40962):

  • 4 new units purchased with firmware 9.3.26 pre-installed
  • Missing power consumption entities in HA
  • Only shows basic switch functionality

Both models are running the same firmware version (9.3.26), but the newer 40962 model doesn’t expose power monitoring sensors to Home Assistant, while the 40965 model works perfectly.

Question: Is this a known hardware difference between these models, or is there a configuration/integration issue that can be resolved to enable power consumption monitoring on the 40962 units?

The image show the new one :

Ok a little update on the issue, the Meross mobile application need to be restarted to get the device update…

Once done all my new devices get an firmware update and the power consumption is displayed in HA
