Messed up my HA changing IP cannot remote in. Locked out

Newbie and feel bad asking.

I just learned how to create a vLAN and made an IoT network. I went into HA under Network and changed the static IP to that VLAN gateway and IP. When I saved it, I got the spinning ball on my Mac, and I cannot get back into HA via locally or Cloudflare.

On a newbie level, how can I fix HA, even at the easiest, set it back to DHCP? Is there a manual way to connect to the device?

I purchased an HA Green model.

Hi, how would you set it to DHCP if you cannot get into the webUI?
Try http://homeassistant.local:8123 and/or check the IP address in your router.

A simple test is to ping the address to see if your HA is reachable.
Also, if you search for VLAN, you will find a lot of topics with similar issues…

Hi Parco Upchurch,

Segmented networks are not officially supported within HA.

HA is designed and expects a flat subnet to work as intended.

This is because every segmented network is different for IP’s and number of segments and firewalls and sharing rules and about 650495849085 other things.
This does not mean you can’t use them or that they can’t be made to work, it means that to get them working you are the support structure on your own subnet(s) and if you are asking for support, you should disclose to the volunteer helping you that this is in use as it often changes the correct answers. If you don’t know what you are doing, maybe a test network would be a place to test things.

Please keep this in mind when you are trying to do this kind of thing.
