I’m going out on a limb here. I did some searching and it doesn’t appear that there are many topics dedicated to the MeterMon and RTL-SDR project. I was inspired after watching: Tracking Utility Meters with SDR // MeterMon & RTL-SDR - YouTube to put together a similar setup…but unfortunately about halfway through the instructions my setup didn’t sync with the video…If anyone has set this up… I followed along with you video and everything was going great until I got to adding the ps aux | grep rtl_tcp …The command executed but I only received one line back starting with “pi” and not the root line with the IP address…I’ve rewatched the video at least 10x and everything seems to check out. I’m just not sure where things went sideways?!
Sorry to dig up this old thread. I just realized I have two separate accounts for the home assistant forum. So I wasn’t getting any notifications about people tagging me.
You still have any issues or have you joined the discord server yet?
It’s been a while since I did this, however my original installation is still running strong. If I recall, I blew up my installation and started from scratch and after an attempt or two it finally took. I don’t remember exactly why it wasn’t producing the desired results, but I do remember that after a couple attempts of starting from scratch it finally sync’ed to the tutorial. Wish I could be more help.
