I’m having trouble getting the key from xiaomi gateway. Documentation and many other web content shows the same. But I have updated xiaomi mi home app and now it shows this (screenshot below) . I tried tapping, but there is no hidden menu there. Any ideas?
It appears you have to do tapping on version number not on empty space as written in documentation, then it unlocks.

That’s right. First I tried tapping underneath the buttons, as described in other tutorials. Didn’t work on the latest Android version of the app. Saw this. Tapped 5 times. Some message in chinese appeared. Nothing more happened. Tapped again a few times. Suddenly, “Local area network communication protocol” and “gateway information” appeared! Yay. There is a key/password in the first menu.
anyone having timeout problems when trying to confirm the communications protocol key ?
