Midea/Moovair Integration?

Hi Community.

I am trying to gauge whether or not the Midea integration can manage certain models of heat pump. We received a quote that includes slim ducts (GDHRA12C2AS1) and mini split head (MWHMA12C2AS1) from Moovair (actually Midea), but cannot tell if these will be supported by the Midea integration.

All units will have wired thermostats that support wifi and the midea smart app.

Anyone know how to check, or know if these will work?

Just a quick heads up there are two Midea integrations:

  • The one built into HA
  • Midea AC LAN

I believe the built in one is being actively worked on, but it doesn’t yet have feature parity with AC LAN.

There is also a question about the token servers that Midea operate, specifically there are two unknowns:

  • If either of the integrations will be cut off remotely by Midea.
  • If you will be able to add new devices.

I am still running AC LAN (it works for me at the moment), but I haven’t been able to add any new devices and I have to have an active internet connection - HA can’t control my AC if I lose internet.

NOTE: I don’t have the specific hardware you are asking about, just providing you with some more questions to follow up on.

Thanks for the heads up and suggestions. Re the token thing, yeah, I already put up with this on some Fujitsu units and the intesis echo system, so its familiar territory, even if difficult terrain.
