Migrating from Docker to Unraid VM

I have a working Hassio set up on Unraid, based on a docker supervisor that turns out to be for testing purposes, and possibly quite old - not sure.

Im following this guide to start a new install on a VM.

HA OS on unRaid!

Download a hassos_ova-X.XX.qcow2.xz release https://github.com/home-assistant/operating-system/releases Extract and place the qcow2 file somewhere on your unRaid system. All has gone fine - until i try and import a snapshot created on my old setup.

Is this even possible? Or sensible…?
Should i just manually rebuild my HA setup on the new VM?

Seeing a few posts about restore from snapshot not working properly in June 2020 - is this still the case?
