Migrating from Ember to ZStack Coordinator in ZigBee2mqtt - Seeking Advice

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using ZigBee2mqtt with an Ember coordinator and considering migrating to a ZStack coordinator. I have over 50 nodes in my network, some of which are hard to reach, so re-pairing all devices would be quite challenging.

I’ve read that the new Ember driver supports improved backup and restore functionality, which should theoretically allow for a smooth migration without needing to re-pair all nodes. However, I’m concerned about potential issues due to differences in backup file structures between Ember and ZStack.

My questions are:

  • Has anyone successfully migrated from an Ember to a ZStack coordinator using the new backup and restore functionality in ZigBee2mqtt?

  • Were there any specific steps or tools you used to ensure a smooth transition?

  • Did you encounter any issues with device recognition or network stability after the migration?

  • Any tips or best practices to minimize the risk of needing to re-pair devices?

Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!
