Migrating from Jeedom to HA

Dear community, I am new to HA with several years using Jeedom. While I managed to achieve everything I wanted to with Jeedom, I would like to give HA a try for my full automation system. I’m gathering as much info as I can on tutorials and other available platforms.

I have a proxmox server running a good bunch of VM’s and containers so CPU power won’t be a problem. Already installed HA based on the latest image without problems.

I have couple of requirements and therefore questions:

  • Requirements (hardware to be controlled)

Tydom 1.0 box controlling window blinds
Zwave network with 30+ devices including fibaro sensors and Qubino switches and heater controllers
Philips Hue hub with 30+ bulbs and other lights
Cameras from UniFi Protect
Doorbird doorbell

  • Questions:
  1. Some of Zwave Qubino switches are controlling some heaters in on/off position only, can HA manage that with a thermostat?
  2. I am using a second Jeedom box that is downstairs to control other peripherals due to distance that is communicating to my primary Jeedom and pushing the secondary devices to it. Will I be able to achieve that with HA? Or equivalent? (Had to use a second Zwave controller)
  3. Currently using lighting based on motion sensors in the whole house and every single rooms. I have day / night modes in Jeedom so that motion won’t turn lights on in bedrooms at night. I am sure it is doable with HA as well, could you recommend a tutorial for that?
  4. All my Zwave devices are included in my zwave controller, will I need to include them all again or will they automatically be discovered by HA when I’ll plug the controller in?

That’s it for now !

I’m sure I’m gonna have some fun restarting from scratch and will be very happy to share my experience with you all.

Cheers
Zoltun
