Migrating RFXCOM TX/RX unit

Hi Everyone,

I currently have an RFX433XL USB connected to my Home Assistant set up. Is it possible to migrate to a more recent model, the RFX-433EMC, in a non destructive manner? Without having to re-discover and re-add all my devices? I already tried a straight swap and that doesn’t work.

Is is possible to assign another COM port to use in the RFXCOM integration?
Otherwise, If possible I would suggest to use MQTT with the RFX-433EMC

Thank you for your response, I did indeed purchase the EMC variant to benefit from MQTT, but it’s buggy. The unit drops out every now and then from Home Assistant, even when running the latest firmware and located right next to the wifi hotspot :frowning: RFXCOM does not allow two devices to run in “native” mode.
