I just ordered a Green and will be moving away from HomeKit. I have a bunch of Govee and Wiz bulbs connected directly to HomeKit (matter/wifi) This is my first concern on migrating everything.
Would my best bet here to be delete the bulbs from HK, factory reset them, set them up in their native applications, and then integrate into HA?
Looking at the documentation:
It does not appear there are any extra actions available from the dedicated integrations compared to using the HomeKit Device integration. Maybe scene control with Govee?
According to the Homekit Device integration you do have to remove any pairing with other HomeKit controllers to be able to use that connection method with Home Assistant.
So you have to un-pair them no matter which option you choose. Speaking of “matter”…

Others may weigh in on the pros/cons of using the native integrations rather than Homekit or Matter.
