Minimal raspberry PI for execute HA

hi , what is the minimal raspberry PI or other hardware to run HA without problem and restriction ? My preference is a raspberry PI , but what is the minimal model of raspberry do not create a poor performance ? thank .

RPi3B is mentioned as the smallest Pi to run n HA, but the RAM of only 1 Gb is often an issue unless you have a really limited setup.
RPi4 is the next step and 2Gb should be enough, but I would recommend 4Gb, so it is somewhat future proof and since RAM is not upgrable in Pis.

Pi 4 is good for most things, but if you plan to use ESPHome get as much RAM as you can as it will hang with 2Gb eventually when doing compiles. Also run HAOS on an SSD, not on an SD card.

If you are buying new consider a mini pc of some sort even the cheapest will run HAOS fine. It will be more powerful than a pi4 and after you have bought a pi, case, psu, ssd and adaptor you will be spending just as much as a mini PC will cost. If the budget is a bit big consider a second had mini pc or thin client.

But most of all if you are doing it just to see if it works for you then setup in a VM on whatever hardware you have.

Thank you for all , the good way is a mini pc or reconditioned mini pc . I’have two hp g1 mini pc . these computers are nas servers , and works very fine
Thank

Consider running HA on one of your mini pcs, you should be OK running it alongside whatever nas setup you have. No need right now for new hardware.

If mini PCs is an option for you, then I would also recommend that over a Pi.
Some of the benefit have been mentioned already, but mini PCs really have issues with powering USB devices, where as Pis can often not handle two USB radio sticks at the same time.
