I couldn’t find a simple Z-Wave button on the market that I liked. So I decided to make my own. What do you folks think?
It’s a 3D printed enclosure (plastic + rubber) and inside it’s a custom PCB with a z-wave chip.

got any build pics? Pics of the inside? Details? Don’t just tease us with a pic of the finished product!!!
Yep! Here’s a few more pics. The PCB is battery powered, there’s a coin cell battery on the bottom side of the board. The PCB sits inside the outer shell, and it’s screwed in with that blue ring.
The blue ring has a double purpose as the rubber button (yellow) latches on to the ring. Since the button is made of rubber it has enough tolerance for me to squeeze it into position and it holds nice and snug.
The code implements the Basic CC so that I can set direct association with Z-Wave lights in different rooms. I’ve also implemented Central Scene support thinking I might use it to trigger different “house modes” in HA, but haven’t made any use of that yet.
It’s sweet and simple, and it works (90% of the time )
