Minneapolis / St Paul - Minnesota - HA meetup group

Hello,

Minnesota has had a MeetUp group for Home Assistant for some time now, however there’s not been a lot of activity lately.
MeetUp.com can be expensive to support but I threw my hat (and money) into the meetup machine to keep the group going. 202 members already in the list.

I’ve recently sold my Arizona house and have a new place in Eagan Minnesota. A lot has changed with HA in the 8+ years since I installed it in AZ. I’m starting with a clean slate and wanted to invite those local and interested to join me in the quest to match and exceed what I had going in AZ. 8+ years of integrations and automations is a lot to rebuild. I have lots of ideas for how to do things better and now need to learn new ways to build things. Back in the day, it was all YAML. Personally I find the GUI less intuitive and more difficult to replicate to my other Minneapolis house. But I’m certain I’ll get there. Will you join me?

Anyhow, I wanted to be sure our HA community knew Minnesota’s group is alive and well. You can reply here or check out the group at: Home Assistant Meetup - Twin Cities | Meetup

Would you be interested in a bi-weekly workshop? Check out the latest switches, sensors, locks, lamps, toys, vacuums, heaters, covers, openers, closers, lifters, gadgets galore!
Let me know you’re interested.

Thank you,
-Eric

I’m definitely very interested; I have joined on Meetup.

Sorry, I don’t (and will not) use Facebook nor Google products.

I’m normally with you on the topic of FB. I did hope to see the group grow, so figured I’d include those platforms too.
Glad you’re interested.
I’m thinking the weekend of November 9th, tentatively for either a face-to-face meeting or an online planning session. I’ve got a million ideas and a hundred physical hardware pieces to install in the new house.
I’d also invite everyone to bring their projects and ideas to the meeting.
