"Miscolorization" in the iPhone header in dark theme since a few days

Hi,

my wife and I are using the app on our iPhones (14 Pro Max) to control our home using the great Home Assistant :pray:

The app is set to dark theme, which was fine all the time being.

Since a few days we don’t have the all black background screen anymore, the header area of our iPhones (with the dynamic island, status icons etc.) is now light blue, which is absolutely distracting :unamused:

As there had been no updates to my HA server nor any IOS updates since this happened, I’m considering a possible bug in the HA IOS companion app.

Anyone else having the same issue?

I have no idea what you mean by this. Maybe post a screenshot? Are they specific cards you use? What version of HA?

I use an iPad with dark theme, but see no problems.

@Edwin_D The light blue area here. That was black as expected all the time before. Same with the iPhone of my wife.

Not there on the iPads though. Seems to be an issue with the special area on iPhones at least with dynamic island (14+) … maybe.

Ah, ok. That is the IOS status bar, not something in HA itself. I cannot reproduce it on my iPad, not even by changing dark/light mode in IOS or changing the background. For me it always follows HA colors.

Did you select a specific theme in HA?
