I’m only posting this to see if others have had the same issue.
I setup the new Nest integration and it was working great for awhile. I have 3 Nest E thermostats in my house. However, in December 2020, one of the three thermostats stopped showing up as a device. I went through the setup process again from scratch and reset the thermostat to no avail.
My working theory is that Google has begun transitioning a small number of devices over to a new interface that is currently incompatible with the HA Nest integration. If I use the Google Home App, the one thermostat that refuses to connect has a more advanced integration that shows humidity, energy use, etc. whereas the other two do not. All three thermostats have the same firmware so it must be a slow rollout on the back end on a device-by-device basis (part of Google’s plan to depreciate the Google Nest App and run everything through Google Home). I’ve found some discussion about this online, and it appears to be a very slow rollout that started a few months ago.
Anyone else see this come up? or have a fix?
