Missing Automation Link in Configuration

Hello all. I’m very new to HA so please excuse my naive explanation of my problem. I will get better .

I’m running hass.io (103.0) on a Raspberry Pi 4. I’m trying to create automations with my devices, but there is no ‘Automation’ link under ‘Configuration’ like the web instructions describe.

I see the automation.yaml file in /config/ but no link in using the io interface.

Help please,

Matt

What is under configuration ? Maybe you need to click on your name (left under in the sidebar) and enable advanced mode.

I had that selected already. No change to the options in Configuration.

After a bunch of reading, this ended up being a simple fix.

I needed to add:

Automation:

to my Configuration.Yaml file. It was missing for some reason. I replaced, restarted, and resolved the issue.
