I have an MJ3800MYQ wiring diagram and I’m trying to hook it in to my home automation system in order to:
- Open/close the door
- Provide feedback if door is opened/closed
I understand that it’s virtually impossible to pull data from MYQ now. But came across the wiring diagram for the door (see below). Does anyone know how the contact closure (pin 2) works?
Is this a dry contact pulsed input? If so how does it behave? Pulse 1 = open door, Next pulse = stop (if in motion), Next pulse = close? Has anyone ever tried it?
This may provide open/close control which is great. I cannot see a feedback for open/closed on there so was thinking of using an zigbee (or WIFI) accelerometer mounted at the top of the door. That way when the door tilts, the accelerometer will fire. Any recommendations on make/model for this? Or if someone knows how to get feedback for door status from that board, then please share!
