This issue started all of a sudden as I deleted my HA app and reinstated everything. I had done this before as well but when I change the name of any of my mobile entities, it gets restored to the original name. I do not understand why that’s happening now. Didn’t happen before
Yesterday, I didn’t get notifications all day, then when I looked in the mobile app, I saw 5 repairs. None of my notification automations worked because my HA app entity ID changed when I did not replace or change anything with regard to the app. Turns out my mac renamed my iPhone when I connected the two, and the entity was recreated/changed to match the new name. On the bright side, instead of editing all my automations, I was able to change the name of my phone back and the entity changed back, however, I can’t imagine this is intended behavior considering how other integrations tie entity names to devices using more permanent information (deviceid or serial number or whatever). I’m wondering if I should open an issue on this…
