Modify a custom component for an API?

Someone very kindly cooked up a simple but extremely effective custom component for Humanity that allows me to poll in who is working on a given day (and the next day).
The code for that integration is here

Would anyone be able to modify that code to allow for a new sensor which polls in the timeclock we use at work as well?

I would, but the developer has been very kind already, and is too busy to help and I totally get that. Everyone might be too busy and that’s fine too.
