Moes/Tuya TS0044 - event entity blueprint

Moes/Tuya TS0044 - event entity blueprint

I made this blueprint for the Moes/Tuya TS0044 4-button scene switch.

There is already a TS0044 blueprint in this forum by @DJF3, so this is not meant to replace it. The difference is that this one uses the Home Assistant event entity exposed by Zigbee2MQTT.

With my TS0044, the event entity looks like this:

event_type: single
button: '1'

and for example:

event_type: double
button: '1'

The blueprint gives you a separate action for each button/action combination:

  • 1–4: single
  • 1–4: double
  • 1–4: hold

Why I made it

After updating to Zigbee2MQTT 2.14.2, my existing blueprint stopped working.

The event data I was receiving had changed from the combined form I was expecting (1_single, 1_double, etc.) to separate button and event_type attributes.

I changed the blueprint to handle this new format and kept support for the previous format as well.

Current version: 1.1

If anyone else is using a TS0044 this way, I’d be interested to know if your event attributes look the same.

Hello hiousi,
Welcome to the Home Assistant Forum!

Thanks for contributing to the community with a new Blueprint.
I have a suggestion for you. Many people who are not familiar with directory structures will have problems installing this without the Home Assistant MY tools.
Adding a MY link for this Blueprint to your top post would help them a lot.
Here is the link to make that.
Create a link – My Home Assistant

Hi @Sir_Goodenough

Thanks for the suggestion! I can’t seem to edit my original post, as the edit option isn’t available to me.

Here’s the My Home Assistant import link in the meantime:

Open your Home Assistant instance and show the blueprint import dialog with a specific blueprint pre-filled.

Is there a way I can get permission to edit the original post so I can add the link there as well?

Thanks!
