Monitor an IP address

n00b here but definitely getting the hang of things.

Im looking to get alerted when HA stops or becomes unavailable. Also looking to monitor an IP address on the same network. simple ping should be fine

I use UptimeRobot to monitor my HA.

Uptime robot to go. If your ha is down, you can’t to rely on it to notify you, you should have an independent system to check its health

Does anyone know if something changed in the uptime robot settings that would affect the possibility to use it to monitor the HA?

I was helping a friend set it up but we were getting the “down” status all the time. I then added my HA address to my friend’s uptime robot dashboard and it also showed the status as “down” even though in my dashboard it shows “up”.

I noticed that there is one difference in out Uptimerobot accounts.
In my account that I have had for more than a year, under the section: “SSL certificate and Domain checks“ there is an option called “Check SSL errors” it is greyed out but it says “Enabled” while for my friend and for all new monitors I add it is greyed out but says “Disabled”.

Could this together with some SSL settings on Cloudflare make the monitor not work?
The root cause in Uptimerobot says “405 Method Not Allowed”

Any tips? Thank you!
