Monitor Boat devices with home assistant @ home

Hi.

I have Home Assistant OS installed at home and all my devices connected.

I want to monitor my boat and use my HA at home to store the data (Mqtt).
The boat has a Teltonika Modem that has OpenVPN capability (Server and client).

How do i set it up?
Do i install a OpenVPN Client on my home assistant OS or a aserver ?
What is the best option ?

You set up a VPN between your home router and your boat. So your boat essentially becomes an extension of your local network at home.

i have a server inside the home network that has openVPN server running.
And the boat router has OpenVPN client capabilities.
Will that work?
Do i need to create a tunnel or bridge?
