Monitor Individual Devices -> values are wrong? (difference between Sensor value and Graph)

Hey!

I’m using HomeAssistant for some years now and started to use the “Energy Dashboard” on September this year.

Everthing seemed to work just fine and I added some individual Energy sensors on ~ October (I don’t know the exact day).

Problem:
Today I checked my yearly statistic → I selected 01.Jan to 12.Dec.
I have three energy sensors from my heating system:

  • Heating Consumption: Value is 331kWh = correct value (but it only shows 322kWh)
  • Hot Water Consumption: Value is 285kWh = correct value (but it only shows 154kWh)
  • Cooling Consumption: Value is 203kWh = correct value (but it only shows 55kWh)

Example Screenshots Hot Water:
Mouse Over shows 154:

More Info of the Sensor shows 285 (correct value):

Long Term Graph → no Gap or something:

My only idea: The values listed correspond to the values since the sensor was added to the dashboard, i.e. since October(?). That would also fit, as the delta is small for heating and very large for cooling.

Note: Those sensors already existed before I added them to the dashboard and the “this Month view” is also correct.

Any other ideas? Is it a bug or a feature?

Thank you in advance

That is correct. The energy dashboard does not retroactively calculate statistics. It starts when you add the entities.

Thank you Tom for clarification!
