MoOde audio integration w/ mpd - Spotify

Hi All - I am trying to setup MoOde audio w/ HA to run some automations (turn on my receiver)… it works with internet ratio (shows as ‘off’), but not with spotify (shows as ‘off’).

somehow, I want to pick up that spotify is playing on this device. Any thoughts would appreciated. Thanks!

Any luck? I wanted to move away from Volumio as it’s so buggy but the integrations were so much better in it.

Any one had any success with this combo? (Media Player + moOde + Spotify)
I am facing the same issue…

same here. Has anyone figured this one out yet?

Also chiming in here to ask if someone has solved this already.
Just switched from HiFiBerryOS to MoOde and have to say I’m happy so far, tho the only thing missing is properly integrating this into Home Assistant :frowning:

any news for that ? facing the same issue …

Why don’t you use the Spotify integration?
Linked to your account, you can see on what device spotify is playing.

I used to use it like this:

When spotify plays on “Streamer” (my moode’s name), then turn on my amp, and make a small lovelace card visible showing that “Streamer” is playing from spotify.

With some custom cards, you even can “integrate” what i did (show “Streamer playing”) in the same card where you display MPD’s info.

From the Spotify integration, you even get the cover and metadatas:

Here are the states:

The source “Cosmos” is actually my smartphone.

Sadly, i can’t show you my lovelace card configuration with MPD + spotify as i stopped using Spotify recently and deleted the configuration, except the Spotify integration.

I switched to Deezer and haven’t have set it up yet in HA.

Sorry for my english, I’m French & tired ahah
I hope this is what you’re looking for or this could help
