More information from installations back to Nabu Casa

There might be a way to get better information from HA instalations back to Nabu Casa. I am thinking of options like:

  • Do not share my information
  • Share that I exist and my installation type but no details
  • Share that I exist, my installation type, and hardware but no other details
  • Share the usual limited details

This way people can share that they exist but not a lot more details. I would also allow the user to determine how often they share, daily, weekly, or monthly.

Lastly, I would add a usage. That is, is this a Production, Test, Development, or Other installation? This might avoid counting test installations as production ones.

Presumably you’re talking about analytics passed back to Nabu Casa. You need to make that clear if you want any support for your FR.
