Mortise Door Lock with local integration

Hi,

I am constructing a new house and want to install door locks which natively works locally with Home Assistant. I live in India and there are limited options here, but I am open to import provided it work well with HA.

I have searched variour blogs and community topics and I am not able to take a final call on the lock yet.

I am fine with Zigbee, Matter, wifi or even bluetooth Mortise door locks with local integration with HA without using vendor’s app or cloud service. I am also open to use any additional devices like hubs if that sulfils my needs of connecting to lock localy.

I have some liking towards Aqara D100 Zigbee or D200i Zigbee. But not sure about the local integration with HA. I have seen some other lock from Aqara like U100 and U200 supported in HA as part of ‘Works with HA’ program. But not sure on the same for D100 or D200i.

I wonder if something like this would work for a Maltese door lock?
