Ever since I installed Home Assistant with a MQTT server, I noticed the following. I run Zigbee2MQTT in another machine on the same network. When this machine is restarted, sometimes Home Assistant does not automatically reconnect to the Zigbee devices.
Lights are turned on at night, if, for some reason, I then restart or the power is lost on the Zigbee2MQTT machine, even for a minute, the next day Home Assistant does not turn them off on their regular schedule.
I just tested this tonight again, even restarting Home Assistant does not see the devices once more, I have to reboot the entire Home Assistant PC.
Is there some setting I need to set on Mosquito or the Zigbee2MQTT server because they both run more or less on the default settings, there probably is some reconnect or recheck status. I know the Zigbee2MQTT PC does try to reconnect automatically, there is a message and in the console and it keeps retrying until Home Assistant comes back online, but I don’t think the opposite is true.
