Mosquitto Broker broke

I’ve been running Mosquitto Broke on a HA Blue for quite a while, when Friday it broke.

I did update the Supervisor and HA Thursday or Friday, and am installing the backup from before then, but I want to figure out what broke.
It starts to run then can’t open Port 1884 for listening.
Error: Unable to create websockets listener on port 1884

Has anyone else seen this?

downgraded os to resolve problem:
ha os update --version 9.5

Hi,
MQTT usually uses port 1883 - install https://mqtt-explorer.com/ on a client machine and test the broker (mosquitto_sub works also well in the Linux command line).

EDIT: Hmm, interesting GitHub issues chain - issue in libwebsockets or port mapping outside of a container?

My Yellow updated without any issues, so being paranoid, I’d suggest a full backup (copy to another device) and watch for any other errors just in case of a disk starting to go bad.

Otherwise, can I suggest a walk-though of all MQTT settings as a check?:

libwebsockets are updated in today’s new version of Mosquitto

I was challenged with this too today: upgraded to HAOS 10.2 which still has issue.
It took some time/searches to bump on this thread so went back to v9.5.
