Mosquitto broker: Is this normal?

is this normal?
From the Mosquitto broker log:

2025-01-07 19:45:28: New connection from 172.30.32.2:35288 on port 1883.

2025-01-07 19:45:29: Client closed its connection.

2025-01-07 19:47:29: New connection from 172.30.32.2:36688 on port 1883.

2025-01-07 19:47:29: Client closed its connection.

2025-01-07 19:49:29: New connection from 172.30.32.2:48926 on port 1883.

2025-01-07 19:49:29: Client closed its connection.

2025-01-07 19:51:29: New connection from 172.30.32.2:39972 on port 1883.

2025-01-07 19:51:29: Client closed its connection.

2025-01-07 19:53:29: New connection from 172.30.32.2:38894 on port 1883.

That IP address I tried already to block in my router, but still the same.

Does anyone know what this is? And how to get rid of that?

Yes it is normal. It is the watchdog testing to see if the add-on is running.

If you turn this off the logged messages should stop happening:

I would recommend you turn it back on after testing this though. The watchdog is there to restart the add-on automatically if it fails for any reason.

The IP address is tin the range Home Assistant uses for communicating internally between Docker containers. There is no need to block it. It is a private range not routable on the internet.
