hi all
I’ve used HA for years on an Orange Pi with a Aeotec Gen5 zwave controller and DLink-Z120 and Aeotec Multisensor 6 units. No issues. Set every zwave sensor to Binary Sensor and they trigger when motion.
However, I’ve started a new setup with the following devices:
Rasperry Pi4
Ubuntu 20.04
Docker 20.10.11
Aeotec Gen5+ (ZW090) - latest one that supports RPi4
D-Link DCH-Z120 (FW: 1.18)
Aeotec Multisensor 6 (ZW100-C) (FW: 1.11)
Home Assistant is running in Supervised mode.
I’ve installed the Aeotec zwave controller using ZWaveJS to MQTT as per Setup Home Assistant with Z-Stick Gen5+ : Aeotec Help Desk
Everything reports fine like temperature, humidity, luminance, battery level, etc…everything…except motion being detected. In HA Development Tools the sensor never gets triggered. I know what I’m looking for as I’ve done this many times in the past, but they’re simply not triggering.
Has anyone else encountered this issue with these devices? Maybe it’s the new zwave controller that isn’t working, or maybe the sensors aren’t compatible (they’re all running in unsecure mode as they won’t go in secure mode), but I’m getting nowhere.
Any help welcome, please.
