So i currently have both motion via the raspberry pi repository installed and a compiled application for mjpeg streams from github. To use the mjpeg streamer i didnt even need the bcm2835-4vl2 module enabled and it ran fairly well. In order for motion to work i need the kernel module. The mjpeg streamer seems to be a little better reacting with motioneyeos versus motion, wth is wrong with it?
