I tried to have motionneye fire a webhook when it detects motion, and have this trigger an automation in home assistant to send my phone a notification. It seems like now even though I have motion detection in motionneye turned off, the automation keeps triggering. Why might this be?
I also know almost nothing about webhooks. I have the webhook url in motioneye as https://serverip/api/webhook/webhookid and have entered this webhook id in the automation trigger.
If there’s a better way to do this I’m open to it!
Edit: I believe I was still getting notifications after I turned motion detected off due to lag in the camera. However, I seem to get notofications even when there isn’t any motion, and I get a notification from all three cameras at the same time.
