Motorising aluminium louvres

Last year I removed the mechanical dual winders from my patio pergola. They open and close each half of an aluminium louvred roof. I replaced them with actuators controlled by RF remotes. They’re a bit intermittent in operation and while they can be controlled in broadlink, only in short burst movements due to broadlink limitations of RF commands.

Today arrived a 4CH zigbee/RF tuya relay/switch. A risk as I didn’t know if ZHA would pick up the four relay switches on the board.

Great news… it did and so I’ll be replacing the existing controller with this to enable local automated control of the roof as a single movement of opening and closing action (via an Aqara door sensor wired to a water sensing PCB).

It’s the little things ….
