I bought a Muino smart water meter reader from Martijn van Wezel, but have difficulties mounting it on my water meter. The reader is a.o. compatible with a Sensus 620 water meter. Because my meter has “Sensus” on the “dial plate” I thought it was a 620 but apparently I was mistaken. I add a picture of my meter. I also add a picture from the Muino website indicating how the reader should be mounted on a Sensus 620. The muino comes with 2 short screws. The Muino does not fit smoothly at the surface of my watermeter. I have following questions:
Are the 2 studs (A and B) on my meter indeed the studs it be used.
The 2 designated mounting “holes” are blind holes. Should I drill them open.
Should the studs A and B fall into the mounting holes of the reader.
Should the white rim with cap be removed off my meter? I already tried to remove it but without success, also because of fear to break it when applying too much force.
I will answer my own questions, maybe it will help someone later.
The 2 studs (A and B) on the meter are indeed the studs to be used.
The 2 designated blind mounting “holes” don’t have to be drilled open.
The studs A and B fall into the mounting holes of the reader.
The white rim with cap should be carefully removed from the meter with f.i. a screwdriver. The rim will get slightly damaged, but that doesn’t matter (store it in a save place: the number of the meter is written on it).
