I have removed the cloud connection, and I’ve established the manual google home connection.
I still see the ‘binary_sensor.remote_ui’ from cloud in the devices list.
I’ve tried just removing from the devices list, but it just reappears.
The Home Assistant Cloud is not logged in.I don’t have a cloud setting in the configuration.yaml, so how do I get rid of it?
Maybe delete it from those hidden files in the . storage directory?
Why did you move away from cloud?
Something in the entities registry under the configuration menu?
Right now, it was initiated by the date. I had started my trial on the 26th, and I don’t want the charge for the cloud to be that late in the month. Then there is the thing about recurring charges, I really don’t like them And as a lot of internet based companies are completely inept at subscriptions, the charge date cannot be changed, only cancelled and resubscribed.
I think the HA is a very cool product, but I’m still worried about the complexity in creating automations, so I’m not completely on board (despite that I’ve so far put everything into HA).
I would rather pay a one-off fee like $100, than pay $5 / month, but that’s just me
Yes, I’ve tried deleting the entry there a couple of times, but it reappears by itself.
Perhaps there are sone other configuration pieces in .storage
Is there an integration for cloud? If there is that could bring the zombies back…
Is that in general? cloud integration gives immediate zombies, that is really an argument for shutting down the internet
Sadly I’m at work, and it’s made so bloody secure so I don’t have access to the .storage from here.
But I don’t have a ‘cloud:’ in the config any longer, and in the ‘settings’, it’s just shown as not logged in, there is nothing under integrations.
You mean that “cloud” network that let you post here in spite of your workplace security?
I think that’s issue: it should not say “not logged in”
With cloud: removed from config, it should be completely gone if I remember correct
I can see a ‘cloud’ file in /config/.storage/
It doesn’t change anything if I try to delete the file.
So where does this come from?
I joined when the secure HA access was offered butI then found it didn’t work for addons. So I shall be dropping the sub too, until it is functional.
I am using DuckDns with LetsEncrypt. It works so far with SmartThings & Alexa. I tested with IFTTT too.
