Moved whole network to Unifi and reconnection issues

I’m not a network or HA guru but today I swapped out my old Mikrotik network for Unifi UDM Pro. I expected it would be an unplug and replace route which largely it was. But on the HA frontend I get a regular “connection lost - reconnecting” problem. I’m not aware that I needed to open any port I am currently using internally and use Nabu Casa for external communication. Its so long I cant recall if there is something I need to setup specific in the Unifi network? Appreciate help.

Ever figure this issue out? I have a similar issue. I had a Unifi USG. I upgraded to the UDM Pro (but migrated my “old” backup file from the USG) and now I am also getting the same error - “connection lost - reconnecting”.

So it seems to me there is something on the UDM Pro that is causing the issue, but I can’t seem to figure out what it could be?

It was quite basic. I had to set the UDM Pro with a different gateway, but of course all my other devices had “discovery” set so assumed everything was OK.
I set the new gateway from the HA front end in configuration-supervisor-system-ip and it fixed it. Took me hours to find it though.
Hope yours is so simple.

Thanks for the response. I’ll check, but I am pretty sure that my UDM Pro is the same gateway address that I had setup with my old USG.

But I certainly appreciate the thought.

Either way I think you’ll find it’s something you’ve overlooked/basic. Good luck

Yup. Figured it out. A slightly different issue than yours, but your mention of gateway got me on the right track. I had to add some firewall rules to get everything working because I have my HA on a different VLAN, so communication between the UDM, Home Assistant and the various front ends was getting blocked. All good now!

Some times just taking a step back and talking through the issue can be helpful.

Thanks again.
