Moving Conbee2 to a new install

I finally changed my old Docker HA instance which is no longer officialy supported to a fresh full HA install. Now the last thing I changed over is the Conbee2 stick, fired up the ZHA integration, paired it with the Conbee2 and was expecting so see my devices being read from the stick.
However I’m still stuck on only 1 device, the Conbee2.

I thought the stick had all info and things would be taken from there. Am I wrong or should I do something more?

Huh?

You are wrong. The stick is just a radio, configuration is subject to software. Hope you have a backup of your old .storage-folder and the zha-files within …

It was running on a synology with all kind of hacks to get the full HA experience wihout HASSOS.

Too bad I’m wrong and I do have the old system still on standby, will copy the zha-files then and see if I can get it to work.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Just for my understanding of the ZHA integration: when some uses the conbee stick in combination with ZHA, the devices can’t be saved by doing a backup in Phoscon?
Thanks.

Phoscon is for deconz not for ZHA.

Do I need to copy more than the .storage/zha.storage file.
Did so during a stopped system, restarted and still only one device.
The old zha.storage file does have all my sensors and so does teh new one.

Did you manage to do this? I’m about to do the same thing and would appreciate some pointers.

@ashscott
It’s long ago but I didn’t look much further into it.
I did switch to z2m though as this is much much faster in adding new devices and has some more benefits to me. It does add another layer of possible problems (not native) but don’t regret it.

Thank you.

I’ve had zero success with Z2M and am trying to avoid re-pairing everything.

There’ll be a way somewhere!
