BIG respect to all involved in putting THIS process together. I’m recommending this to anyone who needs to move from RPi to a VM.
I’d already installed ProxMox (on a whim) so I skipped part one of this:
Part 3 is the important part. If you have a backup file off your RPi, just import it.
I have never seen a transfer between systems quite so fluid. All I had to do was swap the IP addresses so my external stuff could still see the MQTT server.
