Moving Out Of Docker

Hey. Im very new to HA and unix/cli computing. I installed HA on an Nvidia Jetson Nano running Ubuntu. It installed easily in a docker container, but Im having trouble updating config files, installing add ons and accessing config and HACS links. Ive spent a lot of time trying to re-install outside the docker, in a venv, but it is a no go. Even after having fully installed successfully, running the HASS command turns up all sorts of perpetual problems, which I did not write down before closing the terminal window. I’ve been GPTing along but it cant seem to handle the complexity, and I seem to be stuck in the truncated docker container. I’ll appreciate some assistance. Thanks.

Hopefully you didn’t make the mistake of using Supervised? Because add-ons only exist on that and on HAOS.

That can be done by accessing the location you mapped /config to.

Also do yourself a favor and stop this part. While GPT and other LLMs will get some concepts right and it will SOUND right, the versions of HA it was trained about are years out of date and it’s answer is based on nonauthoative answers… It will lead you down a bad path more often than not… As I’m certain you’re finding out.

What Tinker said we need to know what install type you are running. Do you have a link to the instructions you used?
