MQTT - any practical advantages to using v5?

Hello all, I’m currently using MQTT v3 (mosquitto) in my home setup. Since this is all on my home network, I’m using the most basic config possible with no username or password. I have relatively few devices (>50). I see in HA 2012.12 they’ve enabled using MQTT v5 and I’m wondering if there’s a real advantage for a small home network or if it’s really for more serious/larger installs.

For example, my preliminary searching seems to indicate that MQTT v5 is much better with larger volumes of devices and allows more sophisticated responses to ensure that messages are being received.

So, what’s the consensus? Stick with V3 as long as it works? Go with v5 because it’s 2 better?

Thanks!
