My sd card died and I did not realize the backups were on it. I had a thumb drive plugged in
Anyway I had an automation that would turn on and off a GE switch integrated by ring/mqtt so it shows up as an entity.
when I go to actions it is obviously not listed as a device and mqtt is not an option either.

I am assuming you mentioned the irretrievably corrupted SD card as a was of saying yo had to re-install Home Assistant from scratch. Have you installed and configured an MQTT broker and then configured Home Assistant’s MQTT integration?
