MQTT broker not recognising ip address

HI all,

I have a strange problem here. I setup my mqtt server on a different server from my HA server.

The z2m and mqtt are on the same server and z2m can connect to it via ip addresss

On the HA, when i tried to configure the mqtt broker, it says “failed to connect”.

Things I tried

  1. install mqtt client on my computer and successfully connected to the mqtt server
  2. used hostname to connect on the HA unsuccessfully as well

Any help appreciated as I am running out of options.
