MQTT Devices Double Named

I have recently noticed that all my MQTT switches (Sonoff S31 with Tasmota) now have double names. For example, within Lovelace a switch was named Guest_1. After the 110 upgrade the name that is shown is Guest_1 Guest_1. I can change them all with custom friendly names, but they were working fine before.

Has anyone else noticed this or is this just me? Any advice or guidance on how to correct this is appreciated

Don’t have that. By any chance, did you upgrade your tasmotas to 8.3.1 ?

Yes, I did upgrade to 8.3.1, but the name in Tasmota shows a single name (guest_1). I have one of my devices that has not changed and it has been upgraded too.

You think it may be an upgrade issue interacting with Home Assistant?

I think I saw this behavior on some 8.3.1’s (not mine, I’m still at 6.6.0 for most of my devices)

Just out of curiosity, I upgraded yesterday evening one device to Tasmota 8.3.1.2. It generated a double name.

That is interesting. The device only gets a double name in HA, but not in MQTT. I guess I can live with it, but it is kind of annoying

It seems that this change was an improvement:
