MQTT fails to connect

Hi all

Tried three fresh Ha installs now and am struggling with what I’ve always found simple

I am trying to install Mqtt broker

I’ve gone to the add on store and installed and started Mqtt

I’ve gone to integrations and it’s there, I’ve clicked configure and hitting an error constantly

I can’t see what I’ve done wrong but I’m stuck

Any help appreciated

Make sure you have configured the MQTT username in both the add-on and the integration - and that they match of course.

Also make sure encryption turned off on the add-on.

Lastly, have you tried a reboot? :slight_smile:

I had the same issue with the latest homeassistant (running core only on raspberry pi)

I need to have mqtt TLS configuration via config file so I reverted back to homeassistant==2023.04.02
