MQTT - how much is too much?

MQTT isn’t my strong suit…
I’ve just been doing some troubleshooting and seen how much MQTT traffic I am generating!

I have about 10 tasmotized sonoffs all with the their teleperiod set to 300 (five seconds) so they each publish about 10 times (different status messages) every five seconds while doing nothing.

Is this excessive? Everything works but seeing all those messages in MQTT.fx made me wonder?

MQTT can handle thousands of messages a second. :wink:

Ok, but how much can home assistant handle? Especially if it has to be stored in a database…
